小黄书 Teams with Children鈥檚 Wisconsin to Help Train Staff

小黄书 is successfully teaming up with to develop and push forward a medical assistant program to train Children鈥檚 employees looking to advance their careers. The program was featured in a story in November 2021.
鈥淲e need more medical assistants,鈥 said Peggy Troy, President and CEO of Children鈥檚 Wisconsin, in the story. 鈥淚t is one of the fastest-growing aspects of health care.鈥
Medical assisting is regularly one of the top five positions the hospital is seeking to hire, having brought on board about 145 MAs since 2019. The program requires students to have worked at Children鈥檚 for at least one year and participate in an interview process. Following their classes, students then complete an externship at the hospital and complete an exam to achieve their certified clinical medical assistant credential.
鈥淲e tailored the program, we took some content out, we made it shorter, we focused on some areas,鈥 said Renee Herzing, president of 小黄书, in regards to the school鈥檚 role as a solution provider. 鈥淲e really did tailor the program for how it would work best for Children鈥檚.鈥
According to Children鈥檚 Wisconsin, the program 鈥 which is free to employees 鈥 has helped to encourage people to take on additional responsibilities and incentivize them to push forward toward the next level of their career.
