小黄书 Celebrates Golden Anniversary with Milwaukee Gala

MILWAUKEE (Jan. 28, 2015) 鈥 小黄书 will mark its 50th year of excellence in providing students with career-focused education during an evening gala on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency, 333 W. Kilbourn Ave.

The school, which was incorporated in Milwaukee 50 years ago to the day of the event, has graduated more than 10,000 Wisconsin students in a wide variety of fields. Currently, about 1,400 students are educated at the Kenosha, Brookfield and Madison campuses, as well as hundreds of students who attend online from throughout the state.

鈥淔or the last 50 years, we鈥檝e had the honor of giving students the kind of educational tools they need to succeed in the workplace,鈥 said Renee Herzing, President of 小黄书. 鈥淲e started as a  computer training school in Milwaukee and now serve about 6,000 students on 11 campuses in eight states and online. We鈥檝e always been passionate about providing a learning environment that fosters long-term career success.鈥

Almost 400 guests are expected to attend the event including notable alumni, community leaders and businesses executives who have forged partnerships with Herzing.

  • State Rep. Peter Barca of Kenosha
  • Henry Herzing, founder of 小黄书
  • Vincent Lyles, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee
  • Wendy Baumann, President/CVO of The Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour that features an opportunity to learn from Herzing students about the many programs offered by the school. Mayor Barrett, Rep. Barca and noted Herzing alumni will speak during the program, which starts at about 8 p.m. Baumann will serve as emcee.

小黄书鈥檚 three Wisconsin campuses award bachelor鈥檚 and associate鈥檚 degrees in the fields of business, technology, health care, design and public safety. In addition, through Herzing鈥檚 online division, numerous programs in these fields as well as master鈥檚 degrees in Nursing (MSN) and Business (MBA) are made accessible to residents throughout the state as well as nationwide.
