I heard about Herzing through their partnership with Advent Health, where I was working at the time. I鈥檝e held management positions for six years and I wanted my degree to coincide with the career path I was already on, so I decided to start classes.
During my program, I encountered the typical challenges of working full-time, changing positions/organizations and raising a family. However, I also had the unique challenge of working through a pandemic. Thankfully, all the professors were wonderful and helped me through it. I also wouldn鈥檛 have made it without the unrelenting support and encouragement from my husband, Anthony!
I found that courses directly related to healthcare workers, such as accounting, marketing and managed care, were most valuable. They are practical for management career paths, and I know I鈥檒l use the skills they taught me. These courses definitely help you get in touch with proper healthcare management and its current issues.
