There are so many different sides to healthcare, and before attending Herzing, I worked on the clinical side of things. As time went on, I realized that I wanted to shift my focus to administration, and that鈥檚 what led me toward attending Herzing鈥檚 Healthcare Administration program.
During my studies, unfortunately, my father passed away. It was certainly a rough time, and I found that focusing and finishing classwork became difficult. I even considered quitting school.
Thankfully, my teachers were understanding and caring during this ordeal. They advised me to take a break and take as much time as I needed to recover, but I decided to power through anyway.
With a lot of willpower and determination, I managed to finish all my schoolwork. Some of it may have been late, but I got it done and kept myself as motivated as possible. Even during this hard time, I managed to find success! I had to keep going for the sake of my family, and that motivation kept me possible.
I still can't believe that I graduated despite all tribulations and hardships I've been through. For any future students reading this, here鈥檚 some advice: whatever you鈥檙e going through, keep in mind that there鈥檚 always a path forward!
Choose what makes you happy and motivated. When life shows you the ugly side of the world, know there is still beauty on the other side. Keep motivated and passionate about your career! You鈥檝e got this!
