We can provide lower cost care than a standard private practice since this is a teaching institution, therefore, we ask for more of your time and patience.

Our clinic does not accept any form of dental insurance. If you do not currently have dental insurance coverage, our clinic can be a great option for low-cost basic dental care.

Eligibility

Who is eligible, and what to expect

Scheduling an appointment with our dental hygiene students is open to everyone ages five and older.

As a teaching institution, our appointments are detailed and comprehensive, which requires more time than a typical appointment at a private dental practice. Our licensed dental faculty oversee all protocols and procedures performed by dental assisting and dental hygiene students.

Dental assisting students may perform mechanical polishing, fluoride treatments, sealants, and expose radiographs as a part of their laboratory courses; often treating friends and family members in these laboratory courses. Dental hygiene students expose radiographs and perform dental hygiene assessments, preventative dental care, and non-surgical periodontal therapies (scaling and root planing/deep cleaning) as a part of their clinical courses.

*A parent or legal guardian must accompany minors or adults under legal guardianship for the entirety of each appointment.
